Alarm 2001String Voltage High
Name in the manufacturer's documentation (fault list): String Voltage High
[1]
In plain words (editorial)
The voltage coming from a PV string is too high – according to the manual this happens when too many modules are connected in series. The manual warns that an input voltage above the maximum DC input voltage may damage the inverter. The alarm clears by itself once the PV array is configured correctly.
When to call a service technician: Have your installer check the string configuration. Contact your installer or Huawei technical support.

For technicians
Possible causes (source text)
- The PV array is not properly configured: excessive PV modules in series, so the string open-circuit voltage exceeds the maximum operating voltage[2]
Steps given by the manufacturer (source text)
- If the DC switch is on, check the series connection configuration of the PV string[3]
- If the maximum open-circuit voltage is higher than the maximum input voltage, contact vendor or technical support[4]
- After the PV array is correctly configured, the device alarm is automatically cleared[5]
- If the DC switch is off, contact your vendor or technical support[6]
Safety notes from the documentation
- If the input voltage exceeds the maximum DC input voltage, the SUN2000 may be damaged[7]
⚠ Work on refrigerant circuits, mains electricity and PV DC wiring is for qualified technicians only.
