What the LEDs on a Huawei SUN2000-M1 inverter mean
Summary (editorial)
The LED colours and blinking patterns show PV, grid connection, communication and alarm states, as described in the manual.

From the manufacturer's documentation (English source wording, with page)
- LED1 and LED2 steady green: the SUN2000 is operating in grid-tied mode[1]
- LED1 blinking green at long intervals, LED2 off: the DC is on and the AC is off[2]
- LED1 and LED2 blinking green at long intervals: the DC is on, the AC is on, and the SUN2000 is not exporting power to the power grid[3]
- LED1 off, LED2 blinking green at long intervals: the DC is off and the AC is on[4]
- LED1 and LED2 off: both the DC and AC are off[5]
- LED1 blinking red at short intervals: DC environmental alarm, e.g. High String Input Voltage, String Reverse Connection, or Low Insulation Resistance[6]
- LED2 blinking red at short intervals: AC environmental alarm, e.g. Grid Undervoltage, Grid Overvoltage, Grid Overfrequency or Grid Underfrequency[7]
- LED1 and LED2 steady red: Fault[8]
- LED1, LED2 and LED3 steady red: the SUN2000 hardware is faulty and needs to be replaced[9]
- LED3 blinking green at short intervals: communication is in progress; off: there is no communication[10]
- Steady orange (LED1 and LED2): the SUN2000 is operating in the off-grid mode[11]
- If the off-grid load is overloaded, LED1 and LED2 blink orange slowly. Reduce the off-grid load power and manually clear the alarm or wait until the inverter is recovered; the inverter attempts to restart at an interval of 5 minutes[12]
- Wait for about 1 minute and observe the LED indicators on the SUN2000 to check its running status[13]
