The valve that switches the heat pump between heating and cooling (the 4-way valve) did not end up in the right position, so the refrigerant pipe got too cold while heating or too hot while cooling. The service manual lists the valve itself, a sensor, a loose connector or the outdoor unit PCB as causes.

When to call a service technician: Call the installer if F25 comes back: the 4-way valve, its coil, connectors and the PCB are checked inside the unit.
