SolarEdge three-phase: what the LEDs mean and how to see the error type

Summary (editorial)

The green, blue and red LEDs show production, communication and errors. The manual explains how to see the error type.

✎ editorial – written from the cited sources, not a manufacturer statement. Status: draft.

From the manufacturer's documentation (English source wording, with page)

  1. Blue ON - the inverter is communicating with the monitoring platform[1]
  2. Green ON - the system is producing[2]
  3. Green blinking - AC is connected but the system is not producing[3]
  4. Red ON - system error[4]
  5. P for 2 seconds then released: displays production information or error type indications for 5 seconds; activates the Wi-Fi access point for SetApp[5]
  6. When the switch is released all LEDs turn OFF for 0.5 sec and then display the production or error indication[6]
  7. P for more than 5 seconds: starts pairing (all 3 LEDs blinking simultaneously)[7]
  8. Flickering = turns ON for 100 mS and turns OFF for 5 seconds[8]
  9. OFF (0) reduces the power optimizer voltage to a low safety voltage and inhibits exportation of power[9]
  10. Table row: Night mode (no production), switch ON – red OFF, green Flickering[10]
